CTX battery replacement

Has anyone opened their CTX rechargeable battery and done a replacement on the cells. Can you PM me any information on the cells used? Thanks

Never tried it myself

Thanks, I saw the video and wondered if anyone had given it a go. Just curious the results. Thanks again.

There was no mention of mAh on the batteries. Most I see are 2200 or so. My battery pack reads 7.2 volts 34 WH. This being the case these batteries would give less than half the run time I believe. 1000 X E / V tells me I need a battery that is 7.2 volts with 4722.22 mAh of power. I shall look for a 7.2 volt 18650 5000 mAh of power. Any thoughts from others appreciated.

I have elected on CGR 18650 CG 3.7 volt 2500 mAh batteries. Each pair parallel connected. Circuit board series between each pair. That gives me 7.4 volts at 5000 mAh of power. Should work fine.

I had three of the rechargeables and I tried it on one of them. The removal of the connecting strips is a challenge and then to get it soldered back is another challenge. I am 'solder challenged"! I tossed it and got the 7000 battery.
