How do I make a copy of a mode so I can modify it slightly? Reason is I wish to put almost the same mode but with slight differences under another save mode name so I can choose between the two quickly using the USR mode switching button.

Is this what your talking about.
Create a New User Mode
New User Search Modes are created by copying an existing mode. Up to
10 User modes are available. To create a new User Search Mode:
1. In the Modes menu, use the Arrow buttons to highlight the mode you
want to copy and press 'Select'
2. In the Mode pop-up, use the Arrow buttons to highlight the "Save As
New' option and press "Select'. You will be returned to the Modes menu
and the new User Mode will be listed. Initially this mode will retain the
properties of the mode from which it was created and will be the currently
selected mode. It can now be edited.

I created several folders. First a folder called "MIKE"S" that I keep geohunts, findpoints, and waypoints in, next a "3030 NOW" folder that reflects the last setup of my detector, then next is my "MODES" folder to store my modes in, and lastly, a folder called "WORKING AREA". Any mode I want to copy and modify goes into that "WORKING AREA" folder, I edit it and change the name and save it then move it back to modes. Additionally I upload each hunt data into "WORKING AREA" and edit the findpoint and geohunt info. Then using Xchange2extend, I export the "WORKING AREA" folder as a KMZ to use in Google Earth Pro. Once that is done, I move all the hunt data from "WORKING AREA" to "Mike's" and I am done. It sounds more complicated than it is...
