These are some of the diamond rings I have found over the years . I once had a metal detector confiscated overseas so I only stick to US beaches now .

Which country was it taken?

Two of us had ALL our metal detecting gear confiscated upon enter to Jamaica. Metal detectors of all shapes and sizes are banned from Jamaica, however ALL the equipment was returned two hours before our flight. It also took two hours to go through the process of having them returned from customs. Once repacked in our luggage we we escorted to the ticket counter, the ticket agent then had to testify and sign that the bags with the equipment was accepted and on the way to the plane. The previous two trips my bags were not checked. the third trip new scanning equipment was installed in the new secion of the airport. I have no plans on going back. There are many other vacation spots that allow metal detecting, know the law and abide by them, even here in the USA

Very nice. I have sold my gold & silver through the years to ARS which sends back the stones. I do have a good collection of stones, but no idea what to do with them. Someday I may have a custom ring made and use some of them. Never have figured out what the stones are in the upper left of the picture. I do know they are old. They were in a piece of jewelry I found very deep in a very old park.
