Do you ever end up buying the same thing twice???

Wonder why we do that? I ordered a new SEF 10X12 for my E Trac in the early spring of this year. Was too heavy for me at that time and I sold it after about 2 weeks. Well we discovered a 1900 old coledge site that we could hunt and I've pulled a couple of silver and several wheats out of it rather quick. My mind started thinking I need another SEF to get that extra depth and and cover the large acreage. So here we go again. Ordered another from Kellyco and will "keep" this one. Done that with many many things in my life............ How many of ya end up buying the same thing twice? LOL

not me but i never git rid of anything and when it wears out i wont throw it away it might have some spare parts

Yes, and no. Usually, I'm in with the crowd Curtis belongs to..... but after I bought my Etrac, I bought another! This one for my son to use.... :twodetecting:

It was so totally not fair for him to use the Ace 250 beside the Etrac. :yikes: :)

I bought another E-Trac, and X-1, Predator tools digger, and all of the old coils I used from before. It's a good learning experience though. You don't know what you have, until you lose or sell it. :heh:

OH YEAH, been there done that!----I call it "goin around the merry-go-round"!---I learn from it though--SOMETIMES. :lmfao: ---------Del

yeah but i find myself buying 2 of everything and keeping them,2 -pro coils 2 in line probes 2 diggers 2 battery packs

How do you plan on getting extra depth over the pro coil? The one inch extra coverage is rather small for the extra amount of weight for me.Now the 12x15 sef will get much more coverage with a little more depth on quarter and larger size targets, but much more weight as well.

forgot to mention i have 2 detectors that are fbs and each works with the other in case i have company.Do you like the sef large coil over the pro coil?

I'm on my third Excalibur and my second E-Trac. I was big on hunting the Gulf beaches and in the water. I first got a Excalibur 800, sold it and then got an Excalibur 1000. I had that for about 2 years and then sold it. I had nothing for about a year. Found out I missed metal detecting in the water.
So I got an Excalibur II 1000. It paid for itself the first week I had it with several gold rings found in the Gulf. Now that oil and Corexit 9500 is part of the Gulf, I have to find new water hunting areas.

I had an E-trac. I had that for about a year and a half. I sold it after someone had called the police on me for metal detecting in a school yard that I had gotten permission from the school board and the school janitor. The police came after an older woman had called saying that some man was falling down on the ground with some kind of weapon. There were 4 police cars, 8 officers, with sirens running and they drove over the grass and they had their hands on their pistols as they came up to me.

I dropped all my equipment and I showed them my signed permission slip and even had the janitor come out to tell them it was ok. They said that because someone had said that I had a weapon, my detector and my shovel, that they had to be careful. They did a check on me and found nothing. I decided that I just had to give up metal detecting on land. I sold the E-trac. After two years, I found out I missed that too and got another E-trac. I now contact the police department wherever I detect and make sure I get a signed permission slip from the owners or the city I am detecting in.

Ray I don't have a pro coil, Had two and to me with my ratphones they didn't sound as clear, the coil, as per say the Sunrays or the SEF's. Crisp might be the better word. Also I had falsing with the pro coils that I don't have with the Sunrays or the SEF's. My favorite is the Sunray X 8. It is deep. That being said my X 12 is deep also but I just wanted another 10X12 SEF. Specialty coil for sure with that purchase.
