Does the Etrac

Compared to the Explorer SE PRO.

Does the Etrac update digital and cross hair information while in pinpoint mode?
Does the Etrac provide digital and cross hair info on all metal mode?

Is the weight the same between the SE PRO and the Etrac?

Thanks, but what would be the advantage of the Etrac over the SE?
:poke:

The E-trac is lighter than the SE Pro.
The E-trac has a more comfortable grip / hand position than the SE Pro.
The E-trac has different software than the SE-Pro that provides the E-trac with additional capabilities.
The E-trac has greater conductive and ferrrous screen resolution than the SE Pro and it is reoriented; conductive is Left to Right. Ferrous is Bottom to Top.
The E-trac has interface capabilities to your home PC that allows you to Save and Upload your discrimination patterns and settings.

If you are REALLY interested in learning more about these two great detectors, Andy Sabisch has a user manual that goes into detail about each. The Minelab Explorer and E-trac Handbook"

Good luck.

Hi mark,
Add one more thing to Richs post. the E trac has a faster processor than the SE so good targets next to iron are more able to be found by it.

thanks

The main differences in the two machines have already been mentioned by other members of this forum.

But ... one important thing that I that I found ... the Safari, Explorer and E-Trac are almost - if not all the same weight - and they are heavy machines compared to others.
I had a Safari for a few months and I could only swing for about an hour before it really got to my shoulder. The Safari and the Explorer have the same handle angle - the E-Trac handle is 15 degrees more vertical - as many others have noticed - this makes the E-Trac much easier to swing for long periods of time then the other two machines.
I can hunt with my E-Trac for many hours without having to take a brake - this might sound like a small detail to some - but for many of us it's a huge plus !

Good luck ! --- Mark

Thanks, that is good to know.
I get tired after a couple hours with the SE.
