Dug --- ( 90 ) --- Coins WithThe E -Trac Yesterday

Well-known member
After being down for 5 weeks because of a total of 51" of snow we got this winter ... I finally got out with the E-Trac yesterday !
Spent 7 hrs. hunting the picnic area at a local swim club - 60 degree's and sunny - and the snow's melting fast !
Dug exactly ( 90 ) coins - almost all clad - but I know there's at least 5 or 6 older silver dimes and quarter's in there.

Nice, I love those big days. I got 75 coins at the ocean last weekend. (5 silver, 1 1906 "v"). Sometimes numbers are good to get in the groove after a long winter. Granted those slow days with high quality have their place too.

Congrats!!! Looks like you had a productive day

Thats great, looks like you found a nice spot to start of at... Looking to get out for the first time this weekend myself...

:stretcher:My Back Hurts just by thinking 90 ups and downs !hufffff:thumbup:
still good hunting for the day !

Man, that's a lot of digging! Congrats on the great finds!

Yes, digging 90 coins in a day is a lot of ups and downs. Also dug about 15 to 20 pop tops that day.
I was wiped out when I got home - but it was great to finally get out !

What I've been doing at sites where there's a lot of targets is ...

( 1 ) - Locating ( 6 ) good targets at a time that I want to dig - and marking each one as I go along with a yellow plastic Tent Stake from Walmart's.

( 2 ) - Then I put the machine in a safe place - like on a picnic table.

( 3 ) - Then I go back to the targets with just my digger in one hand and the Garret Pro-Pointer in the other.
I've found that digging six targets at once - saves a lot of time - makes digging a lot of targets in one day much easier - and it's less wear and tear on the detector and headphones.
