Went hunting at 150 year old abandoned church and an older Elementary School yesterday.
Got my all time first SLQ and three Wheat Cents dated 1927 - 1942 and 1948 at the church and dug ( 21 ) clad coins near the baseball field at the school.
The date is worn off on the SLQ - seems to happen to a lot of these older "Pedestal" type SLQ's. I did read that this style of Quarter was only minted from 1917 to 1924.
All in all a great time - one old silver coin can sure make your day !
Good luck to all ! --- Mark

That is awesome! I'm still looking for my 1st SLQ. I love seeing people pull those out because it reassures me they are still out there. Very nice recovery!
