Got out for a hard solid 8 hour hunt at the old private fair grounds and found my best coin to date the first hour and was on cloud nine till the the drive home and then I was tired.A little over 8 hours non stop in the 80 degree sun with one small bottle of gator aid caught up with me but I sure ain't complaining:super:My only wish is the 1912 dime's condition had been the same on the 1895 o but it could have been a lot worse. It was in a pasture that used to be a plowed farm field and I figure that is what scratched it but they are very fine and it looks much better in hand. One Indian had been shot in the head,1899.Time to head home and rest up.Thanks for looking ,Ray.
PS Any one know what the heck those little round aluminum caps are  or the big brass U shaped item. This site has a lot of them and they ID at 12 29-43 depending on the depth and orientation in the ground:cry:They are the reason I am tired I think:stretcher:

WOW.........
Awesome day Ray. Dimes look gorgeous.
Those round caps look like the small caps that come off those "mini" bottles of booze....
Must have been plenty of drinking going on around that site of yours over the years.
