EMIs and the V3.

Eagle 1

New member
:stars: I went to the Beach today under the pier full of EMIs. This was my 2nd try the first time was a flop. So I have to say today was a home run. I got it no more EMIs. I started with the beach mode set it to 22.5 then did a ground balance the V3. Unstable so I used frequency offset I started with +1 stopped then listened nope, so then I did this to every number from +1 +2 +3 +4 +5 nope, then -1 that was better -2 nope -3 -4 -5 nope. -1 was the best then I ground rebalanced but still unstable. Next I adjusted the RX Gain it was at 7 so I dropped down to 6 and lessened nope then 5 then 4 yes stable back up to 4 RX Gain unstable then ground balanced. Next was Disc. Sensitivity it was at 65 I dropped it down to 50 nope then 40, then 30 yes stable. Did a rebalance everything was fine nice and stable. I started to hunt it went just fine no EMIs. My deepest fined was 5 3/4

The Eagle has landed..:clapping:...that is exactly the way to do it my friend. One adjustment at a time. The sooner everyone understands that the V3 will work most of the time for most of the users right out of the box, but each V3 needs to be tweaked for the individual user in his/her ground for his/her hunting styles, the better.

Thanks Larry

Adjustment on the V3 was a breeze. Less then 5 min. and I was humming. I love on the fly adjustments. Every adjustment you make you can hear on the spot so you know if you moved it to much.

And is it a good thing to find them?

Are they usually found under a pier?

Its not good, it stands for Electrical Magnetic Interference It is what makes the detector unstable and you get a lot of false signals. Until the V3 it was harder to adjust the detector to get it stable. The on the fly adjustments make it much easier. Hope this helps.
