Im thinking of buying a new nox , is there a new updated program that will be loaded on it , that is different from early equinox detectors ? What accessories would be beneficial to this detector ? Is there any changes in the 2021 equinox , compared to earlier versions ? - thx guys .

The only Minelab change I know of from 2020 is the price on the Equinox 800 which is $50 higher in 2021. The Equinox 600 is still $649 from most dealers.

With permission from Minelab, Coiltek released three new coils for the Equinox 600 and 800.

There have been several software/firmware updates that were released by Minelab for the 600 and 800 since it first sold to the public in early 2018. Those are well documented over on Detector Prospector under Minelab Equinox Essential Information and in that site's Detector Database.

As for upgrades, if you buy an Equinox, like it, and are planning to do a lot of submerged water hunting, you might want to upgrade the shafts, arm cuff and strengthen the area around the coil ears. Some people who are mostly land hunters like the lighter carbon fiber shafts from Detect Ed and Steve Gross. Some people with smaller arms or who detect a lot have covered the stock arm cuff with one of Doc's arm cuff covers.

If you get a 600 you can easily upgrade to Bluetooth APTX low latency earbuds of headphones since the 600 and 800 have Bluetooth transmitters built in. You could also buy a used WM08 "Wi-Stream" wireless module which lets you plug in your favorite 1/8" plug wired headphones or earbuds. Both of these audio transmitters will let you have wireless operation.
