Etrac replacement, what would you like to see?

Firmware upgrades via the USB port.

That way you buy one detector and download all the new features as they become available. Even if you paid a small fee for the latest and greatest it still protects your original investment.

Many of the things listed above, except being physically water-tight, could be accomplished with a firmware download.

Removable storage would be nice for many purposes... trade programs and settings with other users in the field, storing and retrieving files to and from pc or mac, storing gps locations for later upload and mapping...

Sandnsea49, I believe you are correct however the explorer does not have the faster processor or "see thru" abilities of the Etrac. Opinion only but I believe the Fe 12 line serves its true purpose in the iron where fe#'s can be dragged down on good targets but you still get the signal instead of a null...
