favorite headphones

koss head phones starting to crackle from the stupid straight cord being bent/ pulled to often. never had to buy a good pair before with my at pro . you guys got any favorite headphones? does any 1 think there is a style or brand that is better for the etrac?? any and all opinions welcome.

I've worn Black Widows for about 10 years now without any problems. Great at blocking out background noises

With my ET I use either the Black Widows or the Gray Ghost , they have the best tones though are expensive.

Grey Ghost here too

I asked the same question a few years ago.
Ended up getting a pair of Grey Ghost Ultimate's - well built - great sound - I really like them.

Grey Ghost NTD's...........if the detachable cord goes bad, I send the cord back in & they send me a new one! Free!!! Love the clear sounds on these phones.....................

I f you can find a set of Auvio 33-283's you will never go back to a wired set. very light weight and clear. They are not being made anymore but you will see a used set for sale once in a while.

The koss headphones they give with the etrac are an embarrassment seriously they are a A joke! They should be ashamed to include something like that with such a high quality detector!

was lookin at the gray ghost line . what do you use goes4ever?

I agree with you for detecting, but plug them in to you stereo WOW AMAZING :nopity:

Get a pair that are comfortable for you. I have GG Ultimate, Pro-Gold and Killer Bees all work very well on my E-Trac. I have hearing problems and usually use the Pro-Golds because they seem to help with the faint beeps. Comfort is very important for me. The Koss phones leave a lot to be desired compared to other quality phones. HH :minelab:

I agree with Goes4ever about the stock headphones. I had to send my grey ghost ultimates in for repairs one season and I had to use the koss headphones for about 10 days and shortly after I bought a spare set of grey ghosts ultimates for a back up pair.

Auvio's are fantastic!

I can't even imagine going back to wired.

I understand the Rapoo wireless work great too and they are common on EBay.

Mine have always been SunRay ProGolds. Great clear sound and plenty of volume adjustment.

AMEN!!! I managed to find two sets just after they were discontinued by Radio Shack. I always bring a pair of Grey Ghosts as backups, but dread ever going with corded headphones again. I've heard Rapoo wireless headphones work well too, but I have not tried them.

I believe killer b's make sunray pro golds. Am i right?? I use killer b headphones and love them

Gray Ghost NDTs.
Relatively lightweight. Comfortable.
Good volume control and tone quality.
Durable.
Great customer service at DetectorPro!
