Minelab is getting ridiculous all they are doing is suppling Cabelas with Manticores. They had them for 3 days this past week then out of stock Thurs. and got supplied again today. I would say they had them on 6 occasions. Meantime my Dealer is still waiting and waiting and waiting. And he's a very reputable dealer in New England Area and getting pretty fed up with Minelab. I'm not buying from Cabelas until he has them. These guys are the heart and soul of this hobby. But it seems they are last on minelabs list. Pretty sad!!!
That is an example how Minelab treads their "old" dealer network.
Cabelas get the Manticores in, while the smaller dealer, who advertized and took preorders are left without supply.
In Germany the biggest distributor for Minelab detectors just fired Minelab, because Minelab tried to "steal" her dealer network behind her back to supply them straight. Also communication is very slow.
Minelab is under pressure because of the fall of the Codan Share. (Minelab belongs to the Codan Group.)
All dealers in the US should be aware of what's going on, because if you still think, you (small dealer) are the future, you're wrong.
Many "old" dealer in Germany have stopped selling Minelab products, because they don't like what Minelab does to them anymore.
Now, Minelab has problems to get the new detectors (Manticore, Nox 900 and 700, XTerra) on the German market.
4 new detectors and lost the distributor and many dealer.
Customer here in Germany are mad at Minelab anyway, because the Manticore can not be delivered and many customer, who had the Manticore say the Deus 2 has more depth.
