Fiberglass Fly Rods

there is a fly fisher thread below but wondering if any take a step back in time and go with the fiberglass rods,, if so what are you currently using?

My my two sweeties are a 2nd gen blue halo's in 3 & 5wts,,,, have some other custom rods but these I love.

I was a dyed-in-the-wool flyfisher many years ago. We fished a perfectly clear spring creek not far away, and it had super wary trout. We'd have to us 2lb leaders, and make downstream casts. These were good-sized fish, too. The only rods that were limber enough to not snap leaders were the old Fenwick 7' yellow fiberglass blanks. We always built our own rods in those days. You could tie a leader to a solid object, and those rods were in capable of breaking one.

Company called Moonlit puts out new fiberglass rods. Good company and does the manufacturing for Dragontail Tenkara which is a USA based company that is also excellent. personally I like the split cane rods, been designing and building them since 89. Split cane have nice dampening so the line doesn't jiggle and wrap around the tip. Most my fly is with my 6' using 3 or 4wt line and recently finished a nice 8' 4wt. I also use some Tenkara rods and those are a blast with a good size fish. 5x or 6x 5' long tippet drops on the water so quietly when compared to the modern pvc fly lines. Zen Tenkara Suzume is a great general purpose trout rod or for less money Dragontail has comparable lineup.
Sorry bit new here and a little late to the topic. Latest rod below and a flybox i whipped up during the winter.
