I enjoy hunting the ice in January and February on the shores of lake Erie.
Wool thermals, sweats then rain gear to break the wind. Wool glove liners inside those nice thick cloth lined rubber gloves used for working in ice water.
Found my best ring ever in the ice.
Guess it was just a matter of how bad I wanted it.😬
Winter storms throw everything upon shore and it freezes in place. A kind of rock pic works great.
Make sure you have safety glasses.
That's the only difficult part for me.
Glasses get covered and fogged up.
Same here along the rivers and Long Island sound
The tides are the lowest in the winter months

Brrrrr.
We get somewhat shielded by the great lakes.
Though the cold seems to coming in early this year.
Usually harvest the hot peppers first of November.
Hopefully the tai dragons come in soon.
I think it will be a snowy winter
