A 42 quarter, 3 wheaties including my first 1909 vdb and close to $6 in clad. The 6" Excelerator on the Se is finding them where the 8" Minelab coil and the dfx missed.... If you look closely you can see the vdb on the wheatie next to the quarter...

Nice going!! Couldn't rub hard enough to put an "S" on that 1909? Not many VDB's found. And yours is in good shape. Did you change your hunting locations? I know you find a lot of clad, but this hunt seems different, like an old house or something? Great finds!! HH

scratch the "s" on... But it caught me off guard...and you are right....usually a wheatie per trip and an occasional silver is all I get with my average $4 to $6 in clad. I have actually hunted area before with dfx and Se...but think the 6" Excelerator coil is making the difference... Also I am still have trouble deciding on manual or semi auto... Seems lately my better finds are coming in semi auto... I was running manual with sens. as high as 28 before... but semi today....It was a worn path area near a water fountain...

Nice wheat stalks on that VDB Gregg. I bet that's a $15.00 cent. :bouncy: Nice going on the silver too. You just can't beat a small coil when hunting the trash
