Rained enough I could hunt a couple of times the last couple of days. Did some filming today. The spot I "cut my teeth" with the E-Trac still produces. I've uncovered about 7 Mercs, over a dozen wheats, and about

Good video, good diggins, and great banjo playing.............a trifecta!!! HH - Hawkeye Jim.

Great video Neb. You do a real good job showing the Etrac screen and recording the signal audio. That's really helpful. Oh and you play that banjo well. Hope you post some more banjo pickin.

I use the Kodak Zi6 - Good sound up close and great Macro. I usually have mine on a tripod, as normally where I hunt there really isn't anyone around. It takes a little time out of the "target aquisition", but I'm able to go back and re-live that moment when something good was found.

And about what sens. level were you running,Thanks Ray.

Auto +3 Ray. I run it there about 90% of the time. I suppose maybe between that, the 4" depth and the moisture could've been the reason it was giving me a little stronger hit.

Thanks and the reason I asked is it was noted your ID numbers were quite jumpy on the Mercury dime considering it was only 4".Was wondering if there may have been a nail or other form of trash close to the dime,Thanks Ray.

I know there was trash nearby. There was a pulltab about 4-5" to the right and there could've been iron close too. I know when I'm detecting I always call out a "diggable" signal. I knew I was going to dig it, I just wasn't sure what I was dealing with. Funny thing is next hole after that one gave a 2-way with pretty consistant numbers and turned out to be a nail. Its just great to get out and swing!!

And the silver tone was a dead give away to my ears even if the numbers would have been 0-0 lol Thanks for letting us know ,Ray.
