First CW relics of the year including my first ever Eagle button!!

Had a chance to get out last week for a few hours before work for my first Civil War relic hunt of the year. My friend Tim Garton of Metal Detector Sales of SW MO, took me to a few of his spots and we had a great time digging up some large .69 cal minie balls. I even got a few other assorted bullets, a knapsack hook and my first ever Eagle button.

The button is not in the best of shape but I was very happy anyways. I love digging up the silver, but relic hunting brings a different type of excitement to the hunt.

Here are a couple of pics and a video of the hunt

Yes the fact that you can expect the unexpected is what makes relic hunting so fun.The chances of a gold coin go way up at those old CW sites.....one of these days lol

Thanks for the pics and video. Still waiting for my first button. Hoping I can get some CW hunting done this year.

Congratulations on the finds Bob! Thanks for the pictures.
