Well nothing that will give a WOW reaction lol But i did have a blast playing with the new toy today! I got out with Jim today and we went back to this park we have really been pounding!
The first thing i noticed was the E-trac seem to be balanced a little better ? Felt that way to me..
It also seemed to run a but smoother as well.. But the machine is totally foreign me.. I was hoping on digging less nails,,, One aspect i heard the E-trac shined on... But that wasn't the case for me.. I dug my share.. The very first coin i pulled from the ground today was a deep wheat penny masked out with nails.. I was really impressed on how the E-trac picked up on it... you would get a null from all directions but one angle get a nice unmistakable signal..
I love my SE and there is no way i am giving up on it yet,, and i actually feel a more confident with.. But one thing i noticed for sure is that the E-trac seems to pick up on coins next to iron better than my SE... Jim has a awesome test bed with coins a various depths as well as coins with nails next to them.. I could could pick up about every coin in his test bed except for one dime with a nail buried on each side of it.. No matter what i did or where i put my setting.. There was no way i was able to pull out a signal that i would definitely dig out hunting... I set up my e-trac and went out there and hit all the coins in Jim's test bed... Even my enemy dime with the two nails next to it! Just like the first penny i dug today "which is probably why i dug it" i got a null from all sides expect for one angle that gave a beautiful signal that couldn't be mistaking for anything else but a coin. This machine is a lot of fun and i have a lot to learn about it! Today i ended up with 2 junk rings, 2 Indians, 3 wheat's, and a cub scouts pin.... If anyone has any tips in the E-trac they would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for looking
