First DIRT with my Etrac

Hi all. Well the snow has finally gone........for now. I finally got the chance to do some dirt diggin. I went to the local soccer field where I have found some good coins in the past with the DFX and I went over the same ground with the Etrac. Boy was I surprised. My first hit was a merc at eight inches. I hunted for another hour and off to one side of the field is a stretch of woods so I thought I would give that a try. BAM! out pops a Rosie. Keep in mind I covered this area several times with my old md and never got a hit. I pulled out a couple of wheaties in the field as well. I moved to the ski slope which is part of this complex and found a bunch of clad that had been lost during a downhill mishap. Under the main lift I found this medallion from the EOD. The saying on the back just about says it all in my opinion. I was very pleased with my first trip out with this machine. I have a lot to learn about this md thats for sure but given time I feel it will be a killer. I just have to be real patient and go SLOW! Thanks for looking.

Way to start off with a BANG!

Always nice to turn up some silver, especially on the first go.

Nice finds and Congrats on striking Silver twice! That token is a military challenge coin. Veterans carry them in their pockets and pull them out at bars when challenged to do so. The vet who does not have a challenge coin has to buy the round. It's a nice military collectible. I bet someone hated to lose that. I have one from the early 1980's when I was in the USAF. Nice hunting!

Nice stuff - I really like the EOD piece !
