First field hunt of fall ....2 nice 1920 silvers

Well last night I hit my first field for fall. I absolutely love fall and I love field hunting. I detected a farmers yard this summer and he gave me permission for all his fields. I saw he took the corn off one last night, so I stopped for a hunt. I got a super sweet 1920 merc, really great shape, most early mercs I find are pretty worn. Then I got 6 wheats, key, and a gold plated ring. The 1920 SLQ was RIGHT on the surface! I will be going back to this site for sure, have more to cover.

Don't ya just love spottin' 'em right on top ???
The silver really stands out.
Keep that eagle eye open !!

that looks so cool in the dirt , I also love farm fields,

I love finding SLQ, especially ones with dates. Most I've found are dateless. Congrats on the great finds.

Excellent hunt, both the SL and Merc are looking really good!

SL Quarter with a date. Way to go

Even after you saw the quarter laying on top of the dirt, did you sweep the coil over it just to hear it beep? I know I do! Just can't seem to pick them up without first hearing them beep. HH Randy

Great hunt Terry - the SLQ looks like it's in real nice condition !
