First Impression Of The 6" Excellerator Coil

I just got a 6" Excellerator coil last week and I really wanted to try it out - had time for a short hunt on the way home from my last firewood delivery last night. We still have about 4" of snow on the ground so I was limited to where I could go. Ended up hunting a small section of old sidewalk that was torn out last fall - in front of an 1930's era abandonded house on the edge of town.
I also hunted on the lawn of the house and around the driveway. I've only used the Pro Coil and 10 x 12 SEF in the past - so the Excellerator coil seems really small to me !

This little coil gets really in the tight spots - seems to zoom in on good targets - pinpoints like a laser - I like it !
I hunted this same area with my 10 x 12 SEF a few weeks ago - this time I ended up finding five coins ( nothing old ) that I missed the first time around - including a 1971 Kennedy Half Dollar.
The Half Dollar came in as a solid - (FE 07 - CO 47). Can't wait to hunt some of the real old / junky sites that I hunted last year with this little coil - just have to wait for the snow and ice to melt !

you are SO lucky to hunt in Ohio, we got 5 more inches again yesterday, this week has been HORRIBLE. Congrats on getting out!
