After seeing deepsilverdetector's popout coin, I found this today! I thought it was really neat, anyone know anything about it? It was about 8inches deep.

Not sure how big it is, but it could be a watch fob.
Nice find!

Nice find. Did you solve your other problem? Keep swinging that E-Trac it will only get better. HH :minelab:
I only found a few coins, was some what discouraging. 1 wheat penny. 1 clad dime and several other clad cents.

what kind of tone should I be expecting to grab on to for a deep dime or quarter? I'm starting to feel something is wrong with my coil. I've been trying to dig most all repeatable high tones and come up with falsings. The one dime I managed to find was about 3 inches and very jumpy signal.

That certainly is unique! Thanks for the pictures and congratulations on the find.

check your etrac next time you turn it on have you switched it to manual senditivity by mistake when you turn it on make sure there is a dotted circle above your sesitivity bars that means you are in auto but does sound like you are running in manual let us know to switch back and forth from one to the other use the left and right directional buttons at the bottom left hand corner and the up and down arrows will increase decrease your manual level hope that helps

Just looking at it reminds me of boy scouts and some kind of merit award? during a field trip badge excursion.1940's?

Very nice !
