First Silvers for 2011

Went to a small park.
With the ground really wet i knew the silver would be singing.
Ended the day with the 1942 merc,a 1957 rosie and five wheats.
One wheat was a 1947,one a 1938,the rest i couldn't make out!
Didn't show the clad or the junk, but i did find a piece of copper tubing about six inches long
to add to my copper scrap collection.
I took my lucky digger with me,it helped me find silver!

LabradorBob

They were about six inches, but in heavy trash!

No I use conductive most of the time.
The only times i use TTF is if i am getting an almost constant null.
but i don't seem to have that problem much anymore,I run a simple program
everything 28 and down is blacked out.
That's it.
I run conductive, gain 30,sensitivity at 30 unless it is too noisy,i run trash density low, deep off, fast off
volume limit 30,response normal,variability 30,limits 30,conduct ,multi tones,sensitivity in manual,
ground difficult.
This is just my preferences, and what works for me in my area.
The only reason i run trash density low,is because if sweeping very very slow trying to
pick out a signal,Trash density high was not getting the targets to sound off.

Nice job! That's some nice silver !

Nice Finds! Congratulations!

Congratulations on the nice silver. Thanks for the pictures and the settings, I always wonder what settings folks are using and why. Thanks -- Randy

I've never thought or read about the reason for not being in High Trash. I'm going to have to give that a try Harold. Thanks for that bit of information...oh and congratulations on the start of your 2011 silver count.

SWEET!
I need my silver fix too..maybe this weekend..

it's wet too for the exact reason you stated. Problem for me is though...the deep iron also likes to "hum a few bars" as well:biggrin:

Seems like to me the iron reads way high, usually 01-49,01-50.
but i get fooled now and again by rusty nails! LOL.

Great job finding the silver - hope you have a great season !
