Had a great day last week. Got my first Franklin half and large cent in the same day. Large cent really surprised me because it was a bust and it's really hard to find coins that old in Missouri.

Wow ... two firsts - that's a great day for sure - congrats ! :beers:

Way to go RC, Great finds. Today is going to be 60 degrees here in MO so I'm going hunting for sure and I bet you are too. Good Luck Jeff in St. Charles

wow great day! A draped bust would make me smile!

It shocked me when I finally saw what it was. Oldest coin so far and no date lol.

Ya looks like a beautiful day out! Purchasing another detector today so will have fun testing it out =) Supposed to be pretty all week so can hopefully get some good hunting time in.

Congratulations on the big silver Franklin half and that bust large cent is totally awesome :surprised: and thanks for the cool video of the coins coming out of the ground, seeing silver in a big dirt clod like that gives me spring fever can't wait till the ground thoughts so I can get back out there and do some digging myself.

Tell us about the new purchase!!! Have you out grown the E-Trac and moving up to the CTX????

Don't think I will ever outgrow the etrac =) Might upgrade some day but the etrac is killing it now so no need to change unless I stop finding silvers. Plus after watching some vids and seeing feedback I don't think I'm leaving many coins behind for the ctx if any. Purchased a Tesoro Vaquero for deeper woods hunts. Needed something extremely light and easy to break down and put in a pack. Will us it as a scouting machine. It's really basic but powerful at the same time. A great beep/dig machine and if I find a good spot will bring the trac back later.

Great job on finding that Large Cent, beautiful coin those old Draped Busts!
