Foreign coin?

I can't see it. Can you make it larger?

J

I did, still couldn't make out the details. Did you switch your camera to "macro". Then you can get a good closeup and it will still be plenty large when you resize it for posting. Do you have a program for resizing? If not... the best on I have found is free and there is no junk that tries to download with it. It is called Pixresizer you can get it here: http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm ...they have somoe other good programs and tools too.

I used the scanner, I can try to use the photo program to enlarge it, haven't used it much, but will give it a try.

Set your scanner for 600 ppi and rescan.

Use some image editing software and crop out the coin.

We don't need to see all the white around the coin, just the coin all by its lonesome will do.

I work in a coin shop that sees a lot of stuff and better pics are a must. Just looking at it though, it looks like a gaming/counting token. There are a lot of names for these types of things but"jeton" is the most used. If better pics are posted I'll identify it for you on Monday.

Here is a coin I scanned at 600 ppi on a cheap HP scanner.

Cropped out all but the coin with image editing software. Very easy to do.

Turn up the resolution on your scanner, then you can increase the size of your image.
