Found A Few Pre-Civil War Buttons Last Night

Hunted the remains of the old 1800's home site thats on our farm last night - only had enough time for a one hour hunt before it started raining. I like use this location as a backup - in case I don't have enough time to drive somewhere else - I'm lucky - it's only 300 ft. walk from where I live. This is the same site where I found a 1857 Seated Half Dime, 1904 Barber Dime and the Sterling Silver ring with the large purple stone last year. This place is loaded with tons of old iron - I think the owner was a Blacksnith - I've found a lot of pieces of broken Horseshoes and countless nails - so when I hunt here - I just dig any targets with a higher tones.

Found these two pre-Civil War Buttons and a Sewing Thimble. All three targets were found in a 10 ft. by 10 ft. area and were all three were 5" to 6" deep.
I think this place could give up some more old coins this year - if I can get past all the iron !
