Well I dont know anymore....do i like metal detecting to find stuff or do i like playing "mental tetris" with the noises the etrac pumps at me.
do i like playing the "etrac game" more? "if i can just put four sweet tones together in a row....BINGO!"....i havent even been paying much attention to the screen....if it sounds good....it probably IS good. found one wheatie that was DEEP...i honestly could not guess the depth but it was deep and i was suprised there was a coin down there. it sounded more "right" than "not right". i know this stuff isnt earth shattering but for me to find five silvers in one weekend is pretty outstanding and it was a great, fun weekend and i am totally an etrac addict.
the site was where there was a tire swing (i think!) on a now downed maple tree. the area around this maple tree has been great to me, and it has been one of my "training" areas. it just keeps producing for me. a lot of luck that i stumbled onto this spot in the first place. this weekend i kicked a peice of the maple tree away so i could swing and wouldnt you know it.... a merc about 1" deep! there is trash everywhere as well so the spot is very challenging. you really have to listen and concentrate.
good luck everyone, hope you find both the time and the targets!
