Future Proposed Update / Feature "Wish List" Collection . . . . .

1. The ability to adjust the ground balance in tracking mode +/- 5 points from the set position so that it can track the ground with a positive or negative bias.

I'll go along with this one.

And
Higher tone possible in the audio section

Deus probe right to the headphones

One more notch range

Deus produced weather/ protective cover for the remote

Remove TX3 default (nonadjustable) power setting in 4 khz and add default setting TX2 with user adjust.
Allow for zero tone on any and all tone area settings.
Allow deus to be able to default to last used settings when powered off instead of having to use saved programs to prevent data(settings) loss.
Sell deus with waterproof cover for control head and car charger.
Offer deus at time of purchase to be packaged with both 9 and 11" coils.
Deus should be offered with coil, stick and control head only(no phones)
Sell deus with DVD explaining in the field performance with user adjustments. Show deus over deep fringe targets.
Offer extended warranty program at around the 4 year mark to past purchasers for an additional 3-5 years. This could also be offered to those that purchased units that fell outside of the 5 year warranty plan when it was originally adopted. Warranty is a big concern to folks purchasing high dollar electronics!!
Xp should consider sending customers who bought their units letters at least annually to stay in touch. They already have address info thru warranty registration.
I feel if folks are treated royally by XP they will stay XP!! And future XP units released in US. they will take a hard look!!

XP is continually working on updates / enhancements to their product line and that includes the Deus. They collect input from users (including from this forum) to see what direction warrants attention. They see what else is coming down the pike from other manufacturers and what feature might be worth considering or building upon. With that said, releasing an update and making sure Change A did not inadvertently impact Function B is a time consuming process which keeps them from releasing an update every 6 months or so.

Be assured that when an update is released it will offer enhanced performance and functionality . . . and most importantly it will allow you to upgrade or go back to a version you are familiar with in minutes thanks to the update feature.

Building on the slogan that the Mondavi wine maker says in their advertisement, "XP will serve no update before its time" . . . . . so in closing, an update in the works for 2015 along with some other accessories for the Deus

Xp is so smart, they give us the best detector, and then great products to go with it and updates to make everything better, we are all drooling at what might be coming around the corner.

One thing I would like to see is a set of waterproof headphones.. I have the waterproof kit.. but a quality set of phones, like the WS4 or WS5s, that were at minimum rainproof, would be great!!

All things set aside the deus is pretty sweet the way it is. I sure hope they dont over do it with this machine. I say take the things it has and focus on making them better than they already are! Id like to see better coil covers, better screen cases protectors, also the ground notch does not fall into my range, my machine usually grounds at 88-90 so cant use ground notch. Maybe i dont need to?

Deus Glasses - have the horseshoe in the left lens and the TID in the right , small and in the upper corner of the glasses, also having the option to add anything that is seen on the main controller info screen.

With a video recorder built in!

voice controls for the frequencies so you just ask to move up or down

Since Deus users are more concerned with the coil battery over the other batteries (because it's the first to become depleted), it'd be a nice feature to change the intermittent battery level display as it appears on the remote. For instance, maybe display the coil battery level for four seconds then switch over to the other battery level for one second and so on. As a hunt progresses, attention to the coil battery level becomes a priority, so the display should give priority to that battery level.

I would love to see a smaller coil than the original 9" available.

One, adjust any range of VDI numbers down to 0HZ(audio) or at least to 5HZ:
After using a Whites V3i for several years I can say that having the ability to take any single VDI # and adjust that audio tone at or close to zero
is a significant advantage.
For instance, I have several programs that I have adjusted the VDI #'s in the iron range down to 5HZ. This causes a "ticking" sound when you pick up any iron(iron still comes through with that tick, less annoying in iron infested area). I have some other "cherry picking" programs that take specific VDI #'s to 0HZ so I dont have to be bothered with them when quick picking for silver or whatever is the desired target.

Second item is XP service: I had an experience already on a controller exchange and the level of customer service was outstanding. I always thought Whites was the GOLD standard. If XP can maintain a level consistant to Whites they will surely draw many new customers in by demonstrating a French company desires to provide a high level of service for American customers as that need arises.

Excellant machine all around.

It is in the works but as you saw with V3.X, XP will not release an update until they are ceratin it has been throughly vetted and will not create issues that cause downtime in the field for users.

As with everything else that XP has released, the wait will be worth it when it hits the streets

It seems each frequency has advantages and disadvantages. wouldn't having 4 frequencies simultaneously (composite mode) allow all the benefits without any drawbacks. Minelab and Whites both use multiple frequencies for this reason. It would certainly be a great option for the XP.

Minelab uses multi frequencies for other reasons and in fact, the result is that it is hotter on high conductive targets than mid-to-low conductive targets. To allow for multipe frequencies to be used at the same time, there would need to be a hardware as well as software change . . . . . . new features are coming but multi-frequency operation is likely not in the cards.

Still sticking to a "quarter-point" Reactivity adjustment. If I could hunt using my regular program but change Reactivity to 2.5 or 2.75....that would give a little better depth while still keeping a quick recovery speed. There's quite a different in max depth with Reac 2 vs Reac 3, and (at least to me) targets are easier to pinpoint with the higher settings.
