Placed my order for a G2 today. I LOVE my E-Trac, but do not have the luck or patience others do with it for iron hunting. Others can hunt it in 2 tone Fe quite successfully, and I have had luck as well, but the constant tones really drive me crazy after a while. After reviewing all of the options for iron hunting, the G2 sounded like a perfect fit.( especially with a coupon for a $75 5" DD coil) I plan to hunt several plowed fields that gave me fits with iron. I was really interested in the Omega 8000, but the G2 really intrigues me for what it can do in extreme trash. I have enjoyed all of your reviews and posts, and look forward to adding anything I can to the forum.

G2 Ordered! Ready to see what E-Trac missed in Iron

The G-2 does a great job in iron and other trash as well in locating and seperating good targets. But don't put your Minelab to far away. I too have Minelabs and the G-2 is very good but they are two very different machines. Fast lightweight good in the woods and will nail good targets in the trashiest locations grab the G-2. It is a relic hunters dream. Coins and jewelery at the beach or any where depth is an issue fire up your ML. We have the best of both worlds as you will soon find out. Hope they don't take 6 weeks to send your coil. Get the extra lower rod also as it makes coil changing much easier. GOOD LUCK with your new toy and HH

The extra coil deal is one heck of a deal for sure! I have the Omega on order for a demo model too. I will play with both and give you my report. ha ha Anything else I can do for you holler!
