Geeesh, Now what do I do??

I have a 20+ ft Mullberry tree behind my garage and it is full of berrys. I wanted some and figured I didn't feel like playing squirrel so I hauled a tarp out there and spread it under the likelyest looking spot and staked it out.

I took a rubber mallet and clobbered the tree about 10 wacks. Now I have one heck of a bunch of Mullberrys and have not a clue what to do with them. I am soaking them in the sink with a little salt in the water, to drive out the critters but how long do I soak them and what do I do next? Mary said she might make a pie or jelly or I will just eat them but eating that many just has gotta do terrible things to a guys gut. Not to mention he had better not fart.:wiggle:

Any ideas? Mary thought I should soak them for a couple hours and then let them dry on a towel. Byby towel!!

took my mom to pick dewberries at a sisters house, they sat in a bowl in her frig for about a month.their pretty good if you eat them off the cane, but in cobblers the little seeds are noticeable.

don't think i've ever eaten a mulberry, but i think some people around these parts plant the fruitless mulberry, are they any good right off the tree or do you have to soak them like your doing?

What have you got to lose? Give it a shot. I'm making Rhubarb wine now. Go for it.
