Hello everyone, Me and a friend detected an old school that is now a camp center for the local youth. The school building was build in the late 30`s to early 40`s. The site has been hunted many times over. We decided to try our luck. Well it turns out that our luck did not run dry. My friend allen got about thirty coins, one being a war nickel and strangely a couple of indian head pennies. I found 60 coins. We both found ROTC badges sterling silver. We detected for about 5 hours or so. My finds are pictured below. I had the find of the day! A 1945 Silver half dollar (walker) ! Sweet!!!!

Nice what did the walker ring up as and how deep?

That is a very nice hunt, congrats on the half.

It does help alot when your using the SEF 10X12 coil. You find more with this coil, and you find the deeper coins as well!! Great coil!!

Nice hunt Jr., bout time you found some silver. You know if you had invited me I would have stole that walker ;)

Congrats! That's a great day worth of finds any day. That SEF sure covers more ground each sweep, I like mine. The D2 would have seen that walker @ 6". Makes me wonder how it eluded being dug for so long. Nearby trash? Those big silvers make me do the happy dance.
