I went over to my parents place for thanksgiving dinner today, and noticed an interesting coincidence...
In their neighborhood, (suburban mass, 20 miles west of boston), there's a flock of wild turkeys that likes to hang around a couple of houses nearby. There's about 10-15 of them, and I think they get fed a bit by the people who live there who have a pair of pet peacocks as well.
They were notably absent today when I drove by
I think they knew what was good for them and stayed in the woods.
