cjw said:This will be my first summer MDing.
I would like to combine it with my motorcycle. ( H.D. Heritage Softail Classic )
I plan on putting my MD equip. in the saddle bags.
Anybody else here 'ride' to the 'hunt'?
Any advice for me?

I decided to break down a detector and toss it along with other needed accessories into my Tour-Master Extra Large sissy bar bag. I don't have the saddle bags.
Since it was still cool out, I had by black beanie on, then a neck gaiter pulled up to the bottom of my sun glasses. So you really can't see any part of my face. Oh - and my flat black lid (half helmet - Calif. requirement). That always get looks while riding, but when you look directly back at them, most will snap away as if they didn't notice me - lol.
Then pull in a park and folks stare - then get off the bike and reach into the bag and pull out a big digging knife
Then whip out and assemble the detector
Didn't find much but it was all good riding and detecting. At least I got a couple bucks in clad, but I had already started out with a full tank.
Anyway, I noticed a few folks left after I arrived, then a few moved to keep a distance, kids cleared the tot lot to give me a shot, but a couple sleazy young gals walked right up and were really friendlyNo wonder why some gals get themselves in trouble
total stranger - maybe it was two of them and one of me
I started the bike & detector thing last spring. It's like enjoying 2 hobbies on one outing.
