The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.

Has anyone tried the new 13" DD Detech coil for E-Trac?

I sent Kellyco an e-mail about the new Detech coil and they never responded to me. I tried an on-line chat session and as soon as I asked whether they were going to sell the new coil, they stopped responding. Not sure what that's all about.
 
That's interesting as I asked Joan Allen who are the importers over here in the UK the same question and their reply was, "Yes, they are going to stock them, No, they don't know when and No, they don't know the price" so maybe they are going to run down their stock of 10x12 SEF's before they start selling them. umm?
 
I have it and ran some tests in the house. It is just too cold outside right now.

In the house I was able to turn the sensitivity up to 30 manual and it was just a bit chattery, but very functional. I can't do that with the stock. A different coil that I won't mention directly didn't perform as well in the house, so the 13" Detech looks better for higher EMI areas.

What I am looking forward to is comparing the 13" Detech in iron with other coils. I have a feeling the 13" Detech will be quite good as the design shape is more like the stock coil than other 13" coils I have tested and didn't perform as well in iron.

I forget the numbers but the 13" Detech in the house was able to hit coins at 12" in the air at manual 30 and the stock at about 7" (Due to EMI).

So, the 13" Detech, while maybe 2" or so deeper than the stock, might get you much more than that due to how it performs in higher EMI IF my house testing was any indication.

Did you order it from EBay UK and are you located in the US. Did you pay $218.95 and how much was the shipping?
 
Same here, ol JW never got back to me about when or how much the 13 will cost or arrive. Maybe detech gave kellyco the heave ho, like I just did.
 
I am really leaning towards taking the $239 I won playing poker last night and buying one of these coils.
 
I also have the 13" Detech Altimate on order.....should be here in a week or so. I have already been using another 12x13 coil from Croatia that has been working out very well for me on deep silver.

Well get ready for a long haul i paid for mine jan 29 and uh.. not here . i have been using my ukranian coil the past few weeks and we are getting along better after using for awhile, i suspect they will be quite similar and i will sell one of the two i guess . the problem i have with it and i am sure with this 13 inch are pinpointing and the seperation both just because it is a big coil and where i have been i find trash. this week i went to a park with less trash and it was awesome . but those sites are few and far between , and i was working around the back of the park
