Headphones and MXT

I need new headphones as mine has a short in them and drive me nuts. What is the best to go with the MXT. Also, I am wondering if there are any GOOD wireless
headphones out there???? Anyone know.

Phones are a personal thing. We all have our favorites. I use Rat phones. What ever pair you get get a limiter circuit on the phones. Do a search this topic as been covered well in past posts. Rob

I use the FreePulse Wireless by Logitech. They are rechargeable and light weight. Have had no problems with interference of any kind. Got them at Best Buy.

I also use these the whole 2008 hunting season and worked flawlessly for me.
Averaged about 8 + hours on a charge.

Can a person use cordless headphones with the Sunray Dx1 Probe.

There is several things to consider when getting headphones i feel. One is you would want a set that will be comparable as you maybe wearing them for a long period of time id like most of us that detect. Another things is you want a set that is made tougher than the home stereo ones as they do get used a lot harder and the biggest problem I have seen is the cords develop a short in them. I highly recommend the ones made for detectors that do cost a little more, but nothing worst then finding a great spot only to have your headphones giving you a problem.
Now with this in mind there is several company's that make some of the best headphones out there that have a good warranty, very comfortable and blocks out a lot of background noise so you can hear a deeper target many walk over as they dont hear it. I have tried many different ones myself on different detectors and find most all of them work good on the MXT, but on my E-Trac I find one brand works the best for me while my Sovereign GT a different brand works better. Those that are made for detecting and great are the Gray Ghost (any model)the Timberwolfs, the Troy Pros, the Sun Ray Pro Golds and even the Killer Bees are great. The Gray Ghost NDT and I believe the Ratphones have a replaceable cord so they can be fixed in the field if the cord goes bad, that is if you have it with you in your supplies you carry for detecting. Myself I use the Troy Pros, the Timberwolfs on my Minelabs and the Uni Probe made by Gray Ghost plus a set of Sun Ray Pro Golds on my other detectors I use. My wife which uses the MXT likes her Troy Pro the best out of all the headphones she has tried as she like the comfort and the heavy duty cord that stays coiled.

I use the SunRay Pro Gold headphones.

In the years past, Larry has purchased wireless phones and NO, they didn't work near as good as his reg. phones. He has the DFX and also the SunRay Probe.

Yes you can use cordless headphones with the DX-1. The problem with cordless headphones is quality, comfort and time lag.

I like my Rats and SunRay Gold Pro - important accessories as far as I'm concerned - I always use headphones.

The earphone has a small battery pack built in .
The sending unit which plugs in the earphone jack of the detector has a small built in battery.
You can charge them individually or together as the cord had two male plugs.
When the unit is charging the plug in glow orange and when fully charged the glow goes off.
Behind the ear wear.The volume can be adjusted by tapping on the charged earphone upper area for more volume or lower area for less.This is done on the outside of the earphone.
The devices uses Lithium-ion batteries and was made for I-Pods.
When the batteries are low in power the unit makes the strangest of noise and one of them may still be OK for a while .
I would just recharge both of them at the same time.
Almost 8 hours out of the charge.Would recommend any very light.

Forgot to say earphone plug in 1\4 inch to 1\8 inch for sending unit (adaptor)
