Headphones

Are there any aftermarket, over the ear, wireless headphones for the Deus 2 that don't require you to attach the WS6? In other words, a replacement for the WSA II XL.

Well maybe I’m not understanding your question entirely. The WSA ll xl’s are stand alone wireless and in fact you can not have your Ws6’s paired at the same time.

I kind of don’t think so but I’m sure there are others who know more than I do.
I just base my opinion on the fact that the WSA ll’s aren’t even compatible with the D1. There are aftermarket headphones that use the WS6 puck but you know that I think.
I think XP has something proprietary going on with their wireless audio

I HATE the headphones. They don't keep out wind and leaf noise, they hurt with glasses, you have to charge them, they won't keep my ears warm in winter, and I NEVER use them as stand alone. I'll follow this thread in case anyone has a good suggestion.

Do the above mentioned headphones work without the WS6, using the RC alone like the WSA II XL? In other words, if you don't have a WS6, will they still work?

I pretty sure these require the WS6.
And these require the WS4 or WS 6 as well. You can see the place they plug in.
I’m going back to my original thoughts that if you want wireless headphones without the XP puck you have to get the WSA xl’s
Nobody has shown otherwise yet.

I pretty sure these require the WS6.

And these are also available
I always really liked my old Gray Ghost wired headphones for my MXT but these guys and the way the WS 4 or 6 attaches looks like an afterthought and is just plain ugly! At least the HD ones are recessed and look ok
And they do work well
Just my opinion

There are NO wireless stand Alone headphones that will connect to the XP detectors . The quest headphones are over the head headphones that you attach the WS 2 puck to and they work perfectly. I also have a really nice set of lite weight headphones that I can connect with a 8” aux cord to the puck Via the adapter.
