Help ID?

I found this at the beach. At first I thought maybe a fishing weight but it doesn't have any way to tie a line on it.
Then I thought maybe a man made bullet? It has some rusted spots on it. Can anyone help, that
thinks it looks familiar? Thank you!

A bullet, possibly a 50 cal. but hard to tell the size. If it is 1/2 inch wide it is.

Larry is correct. Also, you can tell its a bullet by the cannelure (ridged groove) around the base.

Thank you! Now I'm just trying to figure out what kind of bullet. It's not very large.

Take a set of calipers and measure the diameter just below the cannelure. Around 0.3 inch diameter is 30 caliber (308, 30-06), 0.5 inch diameter is 50 caliber, etc.

I got around to measuring it and it's a 50 cal.
