help with age of this and what is it?

Found my first barber dime 1912 in an area i know i have been over before and is heavily hit by fellow detectorist and a token that i need help identifying age of.Im thinking 1940's?And what do you think this veterans tag came off of?Thanks charlie. P.S. So glad this warmer weather is here but im not too sure i made the right decision on the etrac :) haha
 
Many years ago they used to give out little minature license plate tags with your license plate number.......you placed the tag on your keyring and if you lost your keys, all someone had to do was place them in a mailbox and your keys were returned.........ah, the simpler days!!!!!!!!!!!
