Hey friends, I didn't fall off the earth and I'm out digging :detecting:

These are most of the better finds from the last 3 weeks, think I omitted one more Washington silver quarter and a "merc". I've been mostly absent from the forums & social media since early June. Not much to report as I had issues requiring 2 of my 3 dedicated water units had to be sent out twice for each to resolve some issues. They are working great now and with the cooler fall weather turf hunting also becomes enjoyable again. I finally got the monkey off my back by pulling that gold band from Long Island Sound 9/23. I've never had such frustrating summer (no AU) hunting saltwater swimming areas on Cape Cod and in CT. In all nothing outstanding found on land but for me it is success finding silver because the area I'm in is very competitive with many detectorists hunting any inch of public ground. It is a test of patience. BTW the tank and silver bracelet came from a curb tear out in town.

one more fresh silver coin

October 3: V3i the fine striations are from me moving some soil aside for the pic. Bad idea, I would have kicked myself if this was any older variety or even a better date GW.

Thanks. Seeing that gold in the scoop NEVER gets old.
I forgot to edit the post there's a duplicate pic I meant to delete.

Awesome silver finds and a very nice AU ring!!!!! How are you able to post so many pic's? When I try to post more than 6, it tells me Ive reached the max # of pics allowed!! Anyway, great finds and dosn't it feel great to be up and running with good, reliable equipment!! I just got back from an errand (Southern California) and it was 89F at 8pm! so it's still hot and very uncomfortable to go out in 100F plus during the day to detect and so we pray for cooler weather and of course we still desperately need rain here!

Outstanding! Man, those are all some sweet finds! I like that Franklin Half, that's a coin I dream about but have not found yet...and of course all the AG and that nice AU!
Well, now that you are all sorted out, its time to make up for that Summer!:detecting:

It has been dry here in the northeast, finally we had a couple of soakers in the last couple of days. It raining today and I'm glad to see it. I'd be at a beach if was in SoCal with those temps. I missed so much with repairs I needed - yes it's good to know my units have no issues, even if I don't find good stuff I know it's not a detector tech issue.
To post multiple pics I send my photos to photobucket, then copy the image links one at a time and paste them onto a "note pad" or notes on my iPhone (I mostly use the iPhone for posting) not directly into the forum yet. When I've got as many as I want I copy the page and paste it into the forum message box and preview to be sure I got what I want. Text can be composed separately or type something before pasting ea pictures image link. I don't use the picture button at all that is above the box to compose on this forum.

You have some nice rings. I mostly like the 1952 half. That is the year I was born. At least that is what my mother said...

WOW those are some very nice finds. I am still looking for my first silver larger than a quarter. Glad you got your machines back in good working order. I would go stir crazy if I had to wait for a machine to get repaired.

I love the tank!

Excellent finds - congrats !

Good hunting, lots of interesting things and gold and silver, thanks for sharing. The gold ring is beautiful, the tank, a jewel :clapping:
