hit silver at my favorite spot

hi all got out today to my favorite park. this park has produced old coins on a regular bases i usually get 1-2 silver + 4-5 copper coins every time i hit it.
It was my first time with the expII at this park today so i was interested to see how it handle the junk and bad ground.
I"d hit this park pretty hard with my ace 250 so was surprised to find as much as i did. Found 22 -1s and 2 cent pieces.1-1 dollar,1 half penny 1951 and best of all 4 silver coins
1 florin 1947 1 shilling 1917 2 sixpences 1942 and 1943 so it was a good day oh ye + 2kg of junk as well one bit was a live shot gun round Lucy i didnit blow my fingers off.
hopefully there will be a photo of the finds from the last couple of hunts with a walker half for size.

it sure looks like you've got that Explorer under control. What settings did you use this time? What ever they were it is working for you! I'd be tickled to have a 4 silver hunt. Can't wait to see the results of your future hunts.

Its nice having more than one brand of detectors huh....the ace found me a 2 cent pc, i may have walked past with the explorer...

You got a nice variety of coins there....Congrats!

Hi i had the exp set in iron mask -16, gain 7, deep on, sens 24-5. i played with the sens a bit to keep it running stable as the ground is hot in this park.
i dug less cans yesterday when i got a good signal i lifted the coil a foot of the ground if the signal was sill there i left it as it was a can or large rubbish.
Don't get me started on 1s and 2 cent peaces thay are copper you cant spend them thay sound just like an old coin and are every were last time i checked i had 8kg of the Little suckers !!!!.
but on the good side if there's lots of 1s & 2s i know the park has not been hunted hard before so bring them on.
The coins in the photo are as dug so hopefully when i clean them i"ll post another photo.

thanks snowy no SE for me just an old explorer II. i asked the wife if i could have a new SE but she gave me the evil eye instead na i pay for all my detectors and gear with the $1 & $2 i find so it"s a cost free hobby. i"m hoping to get a 15 inch wot coil soon for the Beach's and less junky parks. ya i was happy with 8 silvers for the first full week of detecting. what do you detect for snowy (old coins, new coin, gold ) ???

Lazyaussie, I like to do a bit of every type of detecting, beaches, parks, older places like old swimming holes on rivers, you name it...
But I especially like hunting for our pre - decimal coins !
