How do you re-size pictures?

Mosley

New member
I am beginning to find some good finds but every time I try to post a picture the site says the picture is too large. How do you make them smaller so they can be posted.

You can use your Scanner and it's program to downsize the photo to 420 kb or less.
Adobe Photoshop Elements ( great program for the money ) will downsize your photo.
or E-mail it to me: reltolbert@aol.com and I will do it for you and e-mail it back to you.

There are several free picture resizer on the net.....I use "Pic resizer". Google a search and you will find one....

I use a free-ware program called IrfanView. It makes resizing easy. You can also combine 2 or more pictures into one -- handy if you want to post obverse and reverse pictures.

Just enter "IrfanView" into your web browser and you're sure to find it.

Good Luck!

You can also use "Paint", a windows program already loaded and ready to go. If you need details on how to do it just let me know and I'll walk you through it. If you want I'll get you my cell and wee can do it one evening. It's pretty simple.

If you have Windows 7 all you have to do is right click and open with Microsoft picture manager and click on edit pictures then find where it says resize.
I guarantee that is the fastest and easiest.....Herb
