How Many Hours Do You Hunt With Your E-Trac ?

E-Trac-Ohio

Well-known member
There have been a lot of good polls posted in this forum across the last few months - but I don't remember seeing this one ...

(A) - How long have you owned your E-Trac ? >>> I bought my machine just under 2 years ago.

(B) - How many total hours have you spent hunting with your E-Trac ? >>> I've spent approx. 1000 hours hunting with my machine.

(C) - On average - how many hours do you hunt - a week - month - year ? >>> On average - I spend approx. 10 hours a week in the field.

Just under two years, and probably average being 10-12 hours a week. Might get 20 this week and 2 the next or none sometimes. The same as you or a little less total hour wise use.

well i got my etrac in september and i try and get a couple of hours in daily what i try to do is get all my jobs done and go out detecting as my treat like someone would go golfing or go to the pub i have a belt that i have my probe fastened to and although i fasten the velcro so the belt is tight there is another belt on top and i have not altered that since day one there is about six inches of loose belt and that is how much weight i have lost GREAT HOBBY GREAT DETECTOR

Bought 2009 (started using on March 6th 2010) - First year about 246 total hours.

So far this year, about 25-30 hours. So only about 2 hrs. per week.

Had mine about 1 month. 20+ hours so far. Try to average 10+ hours the last two weeks.
I love it.

I have had mine for about 3 months and only get about 2 hours a week in if I am lucky. I love the e-trac it is so flexible.

I have had mine about 5 weeks now and I have gone out probably 6 times and an average of 3 or 4 hrs each time.
I believe I have found 13 silver dimes...(9 mercs, 2 Roosies , 1 Barber and1 Panama dime) no silver quarters....lots of wheaties and a few Indians. No rings.

I've had mine about 1 week. I've found 2 rings, 1 ear-ring, 1 silver dime and $8.00 worth of clad. I've put in 15
hours for this 1 week.

Got mine in spring of 2010 can't remember exact date without looking it up. I hunt as much as I possibly can usually 10 hours during week or more and all day Saturday and half day Sunday, so I would say 20+ hours a week

Got mine in November 2010 and used it until December 2010 and then started detecting again in March 2011
so approximately 7 months owned but only 3 months detecting because of winter and rain conditions

If I can, I try to detect daily but realistically about one to three times a week, even for an hour if I can and if weather allows
I average anywhere from three to twelve hours a week

And I also look at detecting as a source of relaxation if not therapy itself and my arms are really buff from detecting

Got my Etrac on 3 March fist hunt was 3 March and founf my first silver a semi key date 1926 Merc, i've been laid off since Nov so i get out about 20-30 hrs per week

that adds up to about 120 -150 hours so far and have found some fantastic things oldest being an 1891seated dine in GREAT shape some silver rings and necklaces, a REALLY kewl old solid brass Yale lock from the turn of the century!! really like finding the old silver coins best tho...and as stated before, VERY therapeutic!!!!

my first day swinging an etrac is in my sig.... i keep an excel spreadsheet of all my finds/locations/dates, etc..

i would swing all day everyday if i could, but usually i try for a couple hours during the week and one "real" trip on the weekend....maybe 10-12 hours a week on average. i wish i could make time to do it more but i just cant.
