How many metal detectors.........

Jewelry girl

New member
.....do you own??? I was just pondering a little bit ago how I would love a new detector for Christmas. Then I got to thinking, I already own 7 metal detectors!!! Why would I want another one??? Part of the addiction I guess! I have 4 Garrett's, 1 Minelab, 1 bounty hunter and one Viper. (Not sure who makes the Vipers) Anyway....Sure would love to have a New Infiniumm LS for X-Mas!!!:detecting:
So I am curious how many detectors U own???

Michele

HI Michele, 7 is pretty good. I have 3, infiniummLS, garrett 500gtax, and a white's, but I also, would like a new garrett gti 1500 or 2500.

Hey Michele,
Well I have 4 Garretts, GTI 2500, Infinium LS, Ace 250, andt the latest addition, the Scorpion Gold Stinger. I love that Infinium, good choice for your next detector!

Alan

Hi Michele
It's hard to stop at one.:poke: I've currently got five. 2 Garrett's, 2 Minelabs and 1 Whites. It seems that I've gotten the itch to buy one every 6 to 9 months over the last few years, so I know how you feel when you get the itch to buy another one.

I own 3 but only use 1. I do have this problem where when my MD savings account gets up to $3,000 I usually spend $1,000 of it. I have a hair over $2,000 now waiting for a new top end Garrett. I'm giving them until next fall then I'm going to start looking at another brand.

Chris

I currently own 1 Garrett Infinium LS, 1 minelab xt 17000, and 2 bounty hunter Tracker 4's, and have a gpx 4000 on loan for another couple of weeks. Gotten 23 nuggets with this unit in as many days. (i want one bad!) regards Nugget.

we own 1 ace 250 ,, one GTP 1350,, and 1 crusty little machine from deals direct that will find a can 18" down but won't finds coins at 2", I also have my first detector that I was given when I was 9 but it does not work,,so that is 3 and a half

Michelle,

I have 5, a GTI 2500, modified Classic IDX, GMT-1650, GMT King Cobra, Tesor Bandido.

Have owned 30 and currently have,
2 Fisher, 2 Tesoro, 3 White's, 2 Minelab, 3 Gold Spears, 1 CS4 PI, 1 ProScan II, 1 Garrett

I did have two Chinese detectors but they were so bad I refuse to admit that I was idiot enough to have purchased them?

Of the 30 only two ever developed a fault, one major and one miner, not including the two Chinese machines which were one gigantic fault

Let's see...1 Garrett Ace 150 (still in the box if anyone wants to buy it cheap), 1 Ace 250, 1 Master Hunter CX Plus with 4 coils and a Treasure Hound depth multiplier, 1 Cobra Beach Magnet and I'm buying an Infinium.

So the answer to your question is, "Not enough!"

Anthony

Hey Nugget,
Can you give us your opinion on the Infinium vs GPX 4000 on nugget hunting? Since you found so many nuggets with the Minelab, would you have found them wtih the Infinium?

Thanks,
Alan

I used to have a bounty hunter 101, which I sold to get a Tesoro Compadre. The tesoro Compadre was modified to switch coils. Then, I got a master cx plus with its depth multiplier. Then I got the Ace 250, which is my main machine with all the coils and accessories. Now I want to get a submersible metal detector but I dont know what brand to pick. I you have any ideas please feel free to do so.

I have the GTI-2500 and intend to buy an Ace 250 in December. And my propointer should arrive tommorrow, plus many books and videos.

I agree with Uncle Willy on the U/W machine. I like Garrett service and all of their machines that I have used have been excellent performers.

Wow!!! Some of you have way more than me!!! I have owned a lot more than I have now and I have only been detecting for about 10 years. I use my Ace 250 and my Garrett Sea Hunter probably the most. Well, and My Explorer SE. My others I don't use as much. I have owned the GTI 2500 and the GTI 1500. Also the GTP 1350 when they first came out. Among other brands and detectors that I won't mention here. Loved most of them. But still favor Garrett detectors. Wouldn't mind getting the GTI 2500 again so I could hook up a two box eagle eye to it. (Not that I would use it much) but would love to have it.
Never have even got to use the Infinium LS. I would love to just try one out first and see how I liked it.
I guess I will have to keep begging Santa for the Infinium for Christmas!
HH,
Michele

I need to sometime get around and snap a new family pic since I have added a few and dropped a couple.
Although the family is smaller than it was in the past, I'm trying to weed things down to a more manageable group. Same with accessories.
