how the forum works?

hi everybody!
I'm crispy new here, and I do not understand the how this forum works.
Please do not get upset with me, but where should I start?
I'm Russian, and English is my second language, so please excuse me for some mistakes .
Never had metal detector and my hobby is numismatic, history but I heart so many stories about,
I really would like to try.I believe before, that it's not so many places, where you may do this, but sounds like I was wrong.
Please give me advice.
thank you

Just by reading this forum you will learn a great deal.
I studied the information here for six months before I bought my first serious metal detector.
Long before that I had a inexpensive Bounty Hunter. Not to good.
After research I started up with a Tesoro Silver U Max, a good machine and not to expensive. But no target ID.
Than I added a Minelab X-70 when I found I liked the hobby enough to spend more money on it.

Good luck to you.

Denny
