used to be a house there and man was it super mega trashy, I am talking 4 to 5 hits per swing, you could BARELY move without losing threshold. I about pulled my hair out it was frustrating. First target was a 1917-S merc in decent shape, then all downhill from there.

That's impressive, and encouraging to know that the stock pro coil can pull the treasure out of the "super mega trash". I guess I assumed that anyone with several thousand posts on these forums would have an arsenal of coils to choose from. Thanks, and congratulations again on your finds!

why would my post count have anything at all to do with what coils I own?.......

I'm hunting in a similar high trash area. I'm new to the Etrac. Would you mind describing your discrimination setup (pattern)?

Thanks

I am just using stock coin program and if I get an iffy signal I flip over to quickmask to check it from different angles

I am glad to find wheats, what years were they?
Congrats on the merc,do,or have you ran in ferrous there?

I was making an assumption that anyone with thousands of posts would be such a detector addict that he would have more equipment than he knows what to do with. I stand corrected! Thanks Goes4ever, I enjoy reading all of your posts.

oldest was 1916-s, then 25-D, one in the 30's, rest were 1950's

I have never tried trying ferrous, and have no real clue how to even do it?

I've been there too Terry. Only I didn't find as many coins as you did. It can be frustrating. As for the ferrous thing. My personal opinion is - I only use it (at times) on sites that are littered with nails and other iron junk. I haven't found it too useful in parks due to pull tabs and can slaw. On a farm site that has the iron and nails I try it some. I haven't yet, but I do have some places I'd like to try Gaz's setup and see what turns up.

Congratulations on the finds and thanks for the pictures!!
