I have wore out two minelab finds pouches, I wear a hole in them from my lesche digger, and am looking for something a lil stronger, what do you use? I searched around the internet for finds pouches but they all look real cheapy made. Gimme some ideas

I use what some hunters use, I guess women call them fanny packs:shrug:. Its a small pack that goes around your waste and snaps in. Mine has a zipper pouch for coins and a bigger pouch for the digger and some junk finds. It's pretty useful and it's not real bulky. Hope this helps!

go get you a cheap nylon tool belt and a 10 dollar leather tool pouch from Hope depot or Lowes to put your trash in. I put my digging tool holster on the opposite side and use a little sipper change purse to put my keepers in and just drop it in the tool pouch with the garbage. the leather pouch has lasted me 8 years and i use it when ever i work around the house on projects LOL

Im using the SunRay pouch. Very heavy duty. I like it alot.http://www.sunraydetector.com/index.html

I use the factory Minelab pouch too - I really like it - I keep my Pro-Pointer, rag, three plastic tent stakes, two small penlights, watch, and a pocket magnifier for coins in the pouch.
I picked up a 3" wide webbed nylon utility belt that has a plastic snap buckle on it for $4.79 at Lowe's and I use the sheath that came with my Lesche digger.
A simple to use setup and you don't have to mess around with your regular pants belt - saves a lot of time and it's very comfortable.

A carpenter's canvas nail apron works great. I use a separate belt for my digger sheath and a small pry bar in a sheath to get rocks out of the way.

I have two pouches. I like the Minelab due to the zipper compartment on the top. But the Whites pouch is much larger. Regardless, I don't put my Lesche in the bag for the same reason I don't use the Lesche holder. They get torn up with the serrated edge! Go to the farm supply store and get a leather pliars pouch for about $6.00. Cut the bottom end out of it so the dirt "slides out". Hook it to your belt and your ready to go. I've been using this set up for several years and it works great! Here is what mine looks like.....

gas mask bag from 40 or 50, Norwegian or Swedish but can be wrong? with strong leather in the bottom. big part for big size finds and garbage small for good godies. good luck Stasys

SunRay... these pouches are handstitched leather, IIRC, made by some Amish folk. They are very well designed and very well made. You'll never need to buy another pouch. It has a large trash pouch, a holder for your hand digger and two outer pouches for finds or batteries. It will also easily carry a bottle of water.

Sometimes I also use a small generic belt pouch with two zippered pockets. It fits nicely between the front two belt loops on jeans. I got it at Lowe's it was in a set of three different canvas, zippered pouches for something like 10 bucks... it has been really handy and the other two pouches hold some wrapped relics.

Local lumber yards gave them to me and I use a different one for each hunt and after 8 hunts I am forced to empty at least one before next outing:detecting:
PS When they get dirty I just toss em in the washing machine and good ro go.

I bought my pouch cheap at Lowes. Just look in the tool bag/belt section. They have a lot to choose from.

I used to use a finds pouch but found it somewhat clumsy to use. They tend to get in the way when you're kneeling on the ground digging up a find.

I started looking around for something better and now, I use a hunting vest (by hunting vest I mean a vest like the one people use when they're going pheasant hunting or duck hunting). You can buy them on line or at any hunting supply store like Gander Mountain

A good hunting vest has A LOT OF POCKETS. You can use the pockets to store your finds or anything else you're carrying with you when you're metal detecting. And it doesn't get in the way when you're kneeling on the ground.

Any of you guys out there that carry pin pointers might want to check into a pair of carpenter jeans. Carpenter jeans have a long pouch on the right hand side of your leg that fits a Garrett Pro Pointer perfectly. Almost like it's made for it. It makes carrying around a pin pointer a lot easier.

I went to vest with lots of pockets I got it from Duluth Trading Post nice to wear even in hot weather will carry cell phone, water bottle, set of batteries, magnify glass, bug spray etc.and all your hunting and survival needs all the weight is on shoulders not pulling pants down it was about 50 bucks.I use it for everything even packing into my secret small mouth honey holes.

I been using one since 1998 and still use it with no problems. It is big enough for the trash and even my water bottle while the 2 Velcro pouches for my clad coins and one for my good coins. These are by far the best pouches I have ever used in my 37 years of detecting.
