Hi gang,
I went back to the field that I was at last week and got the LCs out of. It started out slow with normal junk and some wheat then a Merc 43 then
wham a signal that non of you would have missed and you hear it and know its gonna be good.8 inches down and Silver scream. On this site I was thinking Spanish but its not.Its a 1695 British William III silver shilling.Holy Crap.I didn't know what it was when I saw it but I knew from lookin at it that it was something Hot.This place may end up being my (Field of Dreams) I still have more then half of it to go.I am done for the year right now.I'm going to quit on a high note and start again in the spring. Its time to hunt other things till the end of the year.I was shooting video when I got this coin so I'll get it on you tube soon. Can not believe I broke 1700.
I surprised you guys didn't hear me yell.

Outstanding find !!!
Looks like the site your hunting on could have been a popular gathering place for many, many years!

The site is right next to the original town green. It was about 8" down and it read 12/43. I didn't think silver from the numbers but the sound was hot.It is a thin coin so I think thats why its not like a 12/45-47.This site had a lot of traffic way back then. Its all research. You would be surprised how few hours I spend with the detector in my hand. Its where I go and the reasearch that brings the finds. Plus luck and a great machine with some know how.

SON!!! That is a GREAT find. Wouldn't know what to do with myself if that popped out of the ground. WTG
