I LOVE my Explorer! :super: (Do you think it will marry me?)

Just found my 2nd large cent about an hour ago. 1817 Matron Head. I was real happy to find a large copper with a readable date. That's three so far. (First one (with the Sov) I only have a educated guess on what it is (Hibernia). Second was a braided hair (last(?) week) but I still can't read the date on it.) I found this one about 8" down in a park near what was an old road but the pond near it was a gravel pit around the turn of the last century. But, considering I found a plastic straw almost as deep about a foot from it--was digging EVERYTHING within a 3-foot radius of the LC--as well as some other modern crap pretty deep, the soil's either been turned or fill dirt put in.

This was the first time in a week or two where I didn't find at least one silver but I'm not going to argue!!! And I've had two three-silver outings in about a week and a half. I think something must be clicking.

...but why do you say that? (I think I missed something.)

I keep having these outings where the first thing I hit is the best thing of the outing (and I keep pushing to find something comparable). Anyone else run into that?

Remind me to post pics of my little explorers (Heh Heh).
