I saw a post where a guy made a holster for his X1, I thought it was a great idea !
And I made one for myself.
Thought I'd share what I did.
# I have also attached a piece of elastic to my X1 to give me a momentary pinpoint switch.
To make the holster tube I used some 1 3/8" dia plastic PVC tubing...
Using an electric heat gun I heated the last 3/4" or so of the tube, by sitting the heat gun on the bench.
Then bringing the tube to the heat gun with the end to be heated uppermost, so you don't have the hot air
coming back up the tubing at you.
I heated the tube until is softened, before I did the heating I had an ex military trenching shovel that had a
wooden handle with a ball on the end of the handle about the size of a billiard ball.
When the tube was soft I pushed it ( while rotating it ) onto the ball end of the shovel handle.
This created the flared end, I cut the holster leather body from an old leather apron.
It is soft leather just under 1/8" thick, a 3/4" dia. hole was punched out to take the tubing, it works fine!
Here's a pic of my elastic powered momentary switch mod.
